2002 Awards Presentation

This was the second annual GRBG Awards Night to honor our top players from 2002. Master of ceremonies and club president Brion Brooks awarded plaques to the top three finishers in tournament master points. Top honors went to Jim Slomkoski for Player of the Year, finishing a close second was Michael Kloian, and third place went to Michael Darooge. Special awards went to John Sturak for being such a gracious and generous host and to John Drexel for his continued dedication to promoting backgammon in West Michigan.

Fine Whine Award (No one produces a finer whine than Kloian)
Director of the Year (a 9-way tie for first place)
Club Mascot (Brion ran unopposed)
Dubious Achievement (you know who you are)
